Literary Debates and Drama Society

Have you even wondered how to engage in an intellectual argument? Do you have the passion for acting and are comfortable in releasing your emotions freely?

Then this is the CCA for you!

Currently conducted as two separate activities, our students who are involved in debates learn how to express their thoughts and opinions towards topics like current affairs, education and even policies. They go through a 10 week enrichment programme where they are taught skills and get to try debating with their peers. After the 10 weeks, students meet up with the teacher in-charge fortnightly to practice the skills they have learnt and prepare themselves for competitions such as

Wits and Words and Interschool debating competitions.

On the other hand, students who are involved in drama learn theatrical skills that would enable them to be better performers on stage. Apart from vocal exercises, and tongue twisters, students get to play games that aim to improve their reflex and teamwork during drama sessions as well. Students would also be trained to showcase a short play during school performances.

LDDS is held every Thursday from 2 to 4pm.
